About the author
Amanda Dee is a poet and a writer. She started writing at school, became a journalist and later an editor for a number of publications. She has a degree in Law and a Diploma in Legal Practice but most of her life worked in the publishing and PR.
She writes lyric and experimental poetry, fairy tales for children and surrealistic novels for teenagers.
Her ongoing series of children's books 'Little Tails of Cheesecrumbs' started off with a few bedtime stories she wrote for her children. Though the children are much older now, she continues revisiting 'the village of Cheesecrumbs' adding now and then new stories.
Apart from writing in English and Russian (due to her ancestry) and translating fiction, she is a keen social history researcher focusing on London members clubs of 18th-19th centuries, feminist and gender equality issues.
Amanda works with a few fantasic illustrators: Anastasia Shipina, Elena Chereshnya, Marta Maszkiewicz, Paul Czainski and others.
Her books are available in printed format or kindle. She is working on converting them to audiobooks, too.
She is a Catholic, lives in Berkshire and is a full time parent and carer. She enjoys writing, cooking, fashion and travel.
